Personality

Will Fearow is one of those people who you wouldn't give a second glance despite the way he looks. He prefers to be in the background and thanks to his training and natural inclinations, he successfully manages to do just that in virtually any situation. On a personal level, he is a man of few words but far from soft spoken, he has this quality that arrests your attention when he wants to make himself clear. A "diplomatic perfectionist", he is the kind of person who would try to produce all outcomes by him to be as perfect as possible but unlike most perfectionists, he knows when to quit, cut his losses and move on. As a former Field Operator, he's inclined to micromanage his department but he knows his problems which is why he relies on his adjutant more as the person to stop him before he goes overboard rather than the person to remind him of appointments.

Personal / Professional History

Will Fearow was born on January 7, 2352 to Ruth Caruso and James Fearow. His mother is a Pediatrician and his father was an Ambassador and a former Starfleet Admiral.

Will was recruited by Starfleet Intelligence after his early graduation from high school and sent through Special Operations training with additional modules for OCS qualification. He was an above average SpecOps candidate and he specialized in Covert Entry, Undercover Fieldcraft and Demolitions. During his training period, he was also studying Psychology through a special home course by the University of Cambridge. Upon graduation from the training course and attaining his diploma from Cambridge he received his commission and got the rank of Ensign. He chose to pursue a career in Special Operations for a few years before moving onto Intelligence where he found his calling.

During his first tour of duty, he was a Special Intelligence Operator assigned to Starfleet Headquarters. During his time as an Intel Agent, he became fascinated by the techniques used but wasn’t quite too interested with having to commit lethal actions. After two years of intelligence operations, he resigned his commission and enrolled at the Institute of Advanced Military Studies to take up more of his inclination to teach. He was fascinated with the principles of warfare but showed greater interest in psychology. He found a way to combine his interests by taking up a post-graduate degree in Psychological Warfare. After getting his post-graduate degree, his interest in doing intelligence work started to perk up again. He entered the Academy and took up another post-graduate course, a doctorate in tactics and strategy majoring in game theory. Afterwards he reapplied for a commission into Starfleet and he was once again assigned to Starfleet Headquarters as an intelligence agent. He led the task force during Operation Daybreak. ''[All information regarding this operation is classified.]'' He was commended for his actions and was assigned to the SFI's newly formed Counter Intelligence Section 9 as the Deputy Section Chief.

After two years of working in Section 9, a serious incident created a gulf between him and his superiors ''

Faced with no choice and quite disenchanted with Starfleet, he resigned his commission yet again and presumably for good and taught again at the IAMS. After much talk and negotiation by agents from Starfleet Intelligence, he was called back into duty to work as a special civilian operative for Operation Broadsword but only as a mission specialist and not as a commissioned officer. ''[All information regarding this operation is classified.]''

Motivated by urgings from his colleagues and actual interest in intelligence work rekindled, he requested for re-entry into the service which was accordingly approved by the Intelligence Brass. However, his request came with the condition that he be put in a standard CIO position onboard a vessel. He had asked for that condition to avoid the dangerous politics that caused him to nearly swear off being a Starfleet Intelligence Officer permanently. His first off planet posting was on the USS Vampyre under then Captain Eric Jonus. Eventually he was transferred to the USS Julius Caesar when his CO was promoted to Admiral and became its CIO and eventually the XO while also serving as the Director of Fleet Intelligence for Alpha Fleet.

Eventually his tour of duty ended and after receiving a tempting job offer from Vice Admiral Charles Ryan of Starfleet Intelligence, he took the position of Assistant Deputy Director for Counter Intelligence; a powerful position within the intelligence hierarchy.

After a few months of working for Counter Intelligence, it was about the time that the original Ghost Unit team was lost. ''
[All information regarding this operation is classified.]'' Since it was his brainchild and having considerable conventional and unconventional experience in both SpecOps and Intelligence, he was offered command of COD6; the new Ghost Unit and was promised full support and operational flexibility. After some consideration, he transferred back to AFID as Director, took administrative command of COD6 and recreated Ghost Unit from modifying its original scope of operations to handpicking each and every member of the team including its present CO. Months later, he reorganized COD6 and redesignated it as CTIS; the Counter Terrorism and Internal Security Division. He temporarily took command of the USS Philadelphia as its plank CO and after the vessel's maiden voyage, he relinquished command of the vessel to Captain Sabrina Dodson and returned to Mira Base to work in Fleet Intelligence Operations full time.

He currently holds office at AFID headquarters at Mira Base.
