| Mark was trained to be a host from the age of 5. It was seen he had a strong constitution. As Mark aged he was seen to have an old head on his young shoulders. After his 15th birthday he was deemed to be able to handle a bonding. This was extremely rare but due to the death of the Shax host he was bonded earlier than expected. After binding with the symbiont he left trill and headed to earth to become a member of starfleet. Mark entered the academy at San Fansico as one of the youngest students at the age of 16. As a trill Mark was placed into a scientific based course, mark settled in and gained good marks in his courses but in his tactics course it was noticed Marks natural ability to see whole situations and plannning responces. Mark was transfered onto more of a diverse course designed for command canidates. Mark began to gain comfort with the course and the subjects. Mark spent more time on shooting ranges and pilot simulations than studying padds. Mark made it out of the academy with distinsion as a pilot. Marks first vessel was the USS Orlando where he was the third shift pilot and shuttle pilot. Marks skills where noticed when during an away mission which he was piloting the shuttle they came under attack by a Cardassian Galor it was during this situation that Marks cool and calm demenour was seen. While senior staff flapped and worried he remained calm guiding the shuttle past the weapons of the galor and into a Nebula flying blind through the nebula and managed to lose the Galor before jumping to Warp to meet up with the USS orlando. It was after this incident that Mark was promted and given a more involved role. Marks cold exterior can be seen as distant but under that is the calculated brain of a tactiction. Mark has few freinds and is able to adapt to the people around him if it is needed to get the job done.
